Sa Ri Ga Ma

First class, everyone is taught the fundamental units. And these are, Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa.
The beginners are asked to use a 2.5/D# flute. It is a 8 (+1) hole flute but as I learnt we only 7 . I am not sure when the 8th one will be used.

Introduction

Finally, I have got the chance to start taking lessons in flute. While I have been playing for years, I never took formal lessons and that has bitten me many a times. I am very happy that the classes have started. In this blog, I will post my experiences with carnatic flute music.
